I have a 6 week old, and it seems like he is now starting to smile at things, and it’s not just gas. At what age can I start tickling him to make him laugh?

My baby didn’t laugh bc I was tickling her til she was about 6 months. Before she 6 months she would just squirm and make a funny face. Congrats on the new baby!:)

3 to 4 months
You don’t need to tickle him very soon he will start laughing.
well my son started to laugh loud since 3 1/2months,we dont tickle him…we just make noises to him and he starts to laugh or sometimes we tickle him and he smiles he’s now 4months.it really depends how u bring up the baby cuz we have always been playing with him since he’s 1month and now he enjoyes smiling, gigling, laughing…if u have been doing the same then ur baby will start to smile and laugh loud quicker..
Newborns can’t really laugh. So I’d have to say 1 and a half to 2 years old.
My son started at six months. My daughter is three months and every once in a while she will laugh at being tickled. You still have a few more weeks, but you will know a laugh when you hear it. Its the best music to the ears
Most babies start to laugh at 3 months. My first two both just laughed at a funny voice I made.
As for tickling my daughter is nearly 4 and hates being tickled, she has never laughed when tickled but is very ticklish, she usually starts crying so we don’t do it anymore. My 6 year old always smiled and laughed and my 7 week old will smile a big laugh-grin if I stroke his cheek in a tickly way, so try that!
